MudOS is a popular LPMud driver written by Erik Kay, Adam Beeman, Stephan Iannce and John Garnett. MudOS version 0.9 was officially released on November 13, 1992.[1][2] In 1992 work also began on the TMI Mudlib.

TMI (The Mud Institute) never created a functional mudlib for MudOS. The work on TMI was continued as TMI-2 in an effort more independent of the driver team. TMI-2 was eventually released, but never achieved the success of the TMI derived Nightmare Mudlib. TMI-2 did influence future mudlibs, including the Lima Mudlib.
