MrMud is a Merc 2.1 derived codebase created by David Bills (Chaos) and Dug Michael (Order) which was publicly released on August 21, 1999. The codebase is most notable for its VT100 interface and area based questing support. MrMud started out as Mortal Realms, a MUD opened on December 17, 1993, which won The Mud Connector's Mud of the Month award in May 1999. Mortal Realms closed down shortly after David Bills handed over ownership to Scott Baldwin in late 1999.[1][2]
